Some people use scarves in different shapes and sizes all year round, but most of us use them mainly to stay warm on cold winter days. We probably all have at least one or two, usually plain or patterned, and made from wool or cashmere. These classic scarves are quite easy to find - every good menswear shop should have a small selection, and many classic menswear brands offer them as well. A scarf with a nice motif print, on the other hand, can be a bit harder to come by, especially if you’re looking for a specific colour combination or don’t want to spend €300+ at Drake’s (but to be fair, they have the best selection, and many of their designs are really beautiful).

If you are looking for a nice motif print, keep in mind that printed scarves aren’t as warm as cashmere or wool ones, because they are much thinner and usually printed on silk or a wool/silk blend.
