Things I like this month - March 2026
'Things I Like This Month,' is a monthly newsletter where I share things I genuinely like or that stood out to me and felt worth talking about.
Everything you read in this article is my honest opinion, and nothing is paid for. I’m always excited to see new quality products and discover new brands or makers, so I’m always very happy when you guys send me suggestions or something you think I might like.
Buzz Rickson’s Jungle Jacket
Jungle Jacket is without a doubt one of the most recognized pieces of military clothing. This one is an accurate reproduction of the early version of the jacket, which comes with epaulettes and exposed buttons on the pockets - all of these details were removed or changed in later versions for practical reasons.
It’s made from cotton poplin, because it was intended to be worn in places with high humidity and temperature. It’s a relatively thin fabric that was mostly used for shirts, so it’s high-density, supple, and durable, but also offers excellent moisture absorption and quick drying.
It was officially classified as a jacket, but can be worn like an overshirt or shirt. It’s a very practical and versatile piece that can be worn from early spring, layered over a sport coat, through summer, paired with a T-shirt or tank top, and then again with more layers in fall.
This one from Buzz Rickson’s is in my opinion, the best value reproduction you can currently buy. I wear size XL.

Fortela Ntex Denim Western Shirt Stone Wash
I have been looking for a washed version of a western denim shirt in the right shade of blue, and with the right details, for quite some time. This one ticks all of my boxes and has lived up to all my expectations. There is not too much else to say about this classic piece, other than it is really well executed and fits me really well.
There are only a few other washed options from Japanese brands, and none of them have this type of pockets. They are more commonly made with sawtooth pockets, and other washed versions usually have a more aggressively faded, sand-washed look, while I wanted a more even wash, so it doesn’t have such a strong workwear vibe. I find it much more elegant with a more even, lighter wash. If you want to check other options, here is my list of the best quality alternatives.
I wear size L.
Rubato Spring 26 novelties
Rubato has had a very strong start to the season, starting with the new Fireman, Hunting, and Mercer jackets, and just recently they released a new Sportcoat and Fatigue Shirt, but what I’m most excited about is the new Lot Nr. 2 denim jeans. They had jeans in their offer before, and it was quite a standard straight-leg cut, but this new one is, in my opinion, an improved, more balanced version.
There is a bit more room in the legs, and the rise is a bit higher, just how I prefer it, because such cut drapes much better, even if you have slightly stronger legs. They paid attention to all details - the fabric is a careful reproduction of a mid-1960s cloth, designed to soften and shape over time.
They added copper rivets and a solid copper button to secure points of strain. These are the details that will darken and dull with time, so the garment will develop its own character with age.
They are available in indigo, ecru, and black denim.
Natalino Raincoat
It’s not so easy to find a great mac coat these days. There are just a few brands left that are still making them with a proper cut and length, and some of them come in synthetic fabrics, so we could count the great options on our fingers. Luckily, Natalino are slowly expanding their selection, building around their core tailoring pieces.
This new raincoat is made from Halley Stevenson BCI 250g waxed cotton fabric, and is cut in a generous fit, with raglan shoulders, proper length, and a beautiful high vent on the back. What separates this coat from most on the market are the two big inverted-pleat, bellowed hip pockets, which make the coat a bit more casual. It’s available in 3 colors: Clay, Stone, and Dark Navy.
Outfit Narrative x Sartolane - The Essential Pocket Wallet
This wallet is exactly what I had been looking for for years. I wanted a wallet that’s as small as possible but still as functional as a regular wallet - so it has 6 card slots (you can easily fit 2 cards in each if needed), and two compartments in the middle where you can put folded banknotes and some coins. It’s a perfect size to fit into every pocket. You can read more about this wallet here.
We made a very limited batch, and there are just a few pieces left.
The Suitbag from Peplord
Giuseppe showed me the prototype of this bag in January, and I liked it from the moment I saw it. If I’m completely honest, I currently don’t even need something like this suit carrier, because when I travel I usually take a large suitcase and pack more stuff than I need - it’s better to have options, right? But then even for shorter trips, I have a suit carrier holdall bag from Bennett Winch, so I can carry everything I need plus an extra suit or jacket in the suit carrier.
Nevertheless, this Suitbag from Peplord is special, not only in its aesthetics (his signature Tuscan leather paired with heavy cotton canvas) but especially in its functionality. It has two larger outer pockets where you can pack a lot of extra stuff, but it also has four internal zipped pockets, which is a very unique feature that I haven’t seen on any suit carrier before. So I believe technically this Suitbag can replace a weekender - you can pack your underwear and tees, plus other accessories and an extra pair of shoes in the four internal zipped pockets, while packing your main outfits with an extra jacket inside, and you still have two external pockets left. You would only have to carry an extra sleeve for a laptop, but if you wanted to solve that problem, I think you could fit it at the bottom of the Suitbag.
I think it’s a very special piece that perfectly illustrates Giuseppe’s unique vision, and that’s what I like the most about it.
Morjas The Unlined Chukka
If you are looking for a pair of chukka boots, there are a lot of options on the market, but still, I think there is space for this new model from Morjas. I think most of the pairs are a bit too formal for my taste, or I don’t like their proportions at all. Morjas hit the sweet spot with the shape and proportions, and created what I think is close to a perfect chukka - it’s not too formal, and not too casual. It’s not a pair you would wear for a formal occasion, but it will work if you want to dress down a suit. Where this pair excels is in providing a bit of elegance to your everyday outfits, while still keeping a more casual vibe.
Outfit Narrative x Poszetka - “A Tribute to Ivy”
This is a collection I worked on together with guys at Poszetka, and I’m really proud how it turned out. My idea was very clear: a few classic pieces that are versatile and can be easily dressed down as well, but also something that would complement their “Everyday Classic” permanent collection. I looked for inspiration in my favorite silhouettes from Ivy style, and that’s where the collection got its name - “A Tribute to Ivy”. Together we developed a few completely new styles - a pleated chino with a fuller, more balanced leg, an Ivy Popover shirt, a more elegant version of a Rugby shirt, and a baseball cap. There is also a classic grey herringbone sportcoat, a washed denim button-down shirt, two repp ties, and a special tote bag made by Sartolane. There are just a few pieces left, so get them before they’re gone. You can read more about the collection here.
The Real McCoy’s x The Armoury 1st Pattern M-65 Field Jacket
There is already one military jacket in this month’s edition, but I couldn’t leave out this special M-65 Field Jacket in navy, made by The Real McCoy’s exclusively for The Armoury. I think everyone is familiar with the most popular version of the US Army Field Jackets - this one is a remake of the 1st pattern, but with a few twists: the velcro badge holders on the chest have been removed, and M-51 style cuffs have been added. The most important change, however, is the color - I think navy makes the jacket much more neutral and also more versatile with tailored looks.
